We all l have things we don’t use at home. Why not create a sensory board? Sensory boards are great for teaching children about the different senses they’ll encounter throughout their lifetime. They’re also beneficial when developing cognitive, sensory and fine motor skills.
- Display Board
- Hot Glue Gun
- Items From Around the House
Items You Should Use:
Good items to use would be sand paper, straws, rice and old shoelaces. Find items that allow them to pinch and grab, as well as items that make sounds or have various textures. These work well and stay secured when using only a hot glue gun.
Tips to Remember:
- Lay everything out before gluing it down so you know where everything should be.
- Use items you know will stay on when using hot glue.
